EVO X HD

The only device with three frequencies in one system

Many salons buy separate devices for different body areas, because each works on only one frequency. EVO X HD has all three in one unit: 6.78, 13.56 and 27.12 MHz. A delicate upper lip, coarse beard hair and large body areas – all done at one workstation, without switching equipment.

One device instead of several means a smaller investment, less space in the treatment room, one service partner and one training for the team. The device selects the frequency for the area and hair thickness, and the person being treated gets a faster, more comfortable treatment.

6.78MHz 6,780,000 oscillations per second. The newest Silhouet-Tone frequency, fast and comfortable heating.
13.56MHz 13,560,000 oscillations per second. The classic thermolysis frequency, valued by experienced electrologists.
27.12MHz 27,120,000 oscillations per second. Highly concentrated energy for superficial work.

Operating modes

The device selects the pulse shape itself

Once you select the area and hair thickness, EVO X HD sets the mode, pulse time and power. You can change them at any moment of the treatment.

Super Flashvery short, concentrated pulse
Flashfast and precise coagulation
Slow Flashlonger, wider heat distribution
Pulse Flashenergy delivered in pulses, greater comfort
Short / Soft Blendthermolysis combined with electrolysis
Pulsed / Uni Blendfor coarse, deeply rooted hair

MC vector modulation

Current divided into segments of about 2 ms. Energy at the base of the follicle stays constant, and the person being treated does not feel the typical pulsing.

Skin hydration test

A measuring head checks skin conductivity on a 0–100% scale. You adjust pulse time and power based on the result.

Difficult hair

Programmes for post-laser and IPL, paradoxical regrowth, ingrown, distorted and curly hair.

Infusion

Bipolar iontophoresis delivers water-based anti-ageing products into the superficial layers of the skin of the face and neck.

Thermocoagulation

Closing broken capillaries, removing cherry angiomas and skin tags. Extra treatments on the same device.

Knowledge built in

Training videos for every area, recommended probe (needle) and insertion depth, menu in 4 languages, updates via Wi-Fi.

All operating modes in one place

Below we describe every current and every EVO X HD mode: how it works, what the person being treated feels and when the device chooses it. So that even someone at the start of their electrology journey knows exactly what they are investing in.

Current 1

Thermolysis: high-frequency (HF) current

HF current is a radio wave. When the probe is in the follicle, the current changes direction millions of times per second. Water molecules around the probe vibrate, rub against each other and generate heat – exactly where the probe tip is. This heat coagulates the cells from which the hair regrows. The higher the frequency, the faster the heat builds up, so the pulse can be shorter and the treatment faster and more comfortable.

6.78 MHz6,780,000 oscillations per second. The newest Silhouet-Tone frequency: fast and comfortable heating.
13.56 MHz13,560,000 oscillations per second. The classic thermolysis frequency, valued by experienced electrologists.
27.12 MHz27,120,000 oscillations per second. The fastest heating and highly concentrated energy.

Most devices work on a single frequency. EVO X HD has three and, according to the manufacturer, is the only device on the market with these three frequencies in one system. The device suggests a frequency for the area and hair thickness, and the electrologist can change it at any moment.

4 Flash thermolysis modes

“Flash” is the pulse shape – the way the device delivers heat into the follicle. EVO X HD selects the mode automatically, by area and hair thickness.

Super Flash

How it works
A very short, highly concentrated high-frequency pulse. Heat builds up instantly at the very tip of the probe.
What it feels like
A very brief, pinpoint sensation of warmth. The pulse ends before anyone has time to react.
When
Very fine and fine, shallow hair: vellus hair, face, touch-ups after laser.

Flash

How it works
A fast and precise pulse that ensures effective coagulation of the tissue at the base of the follicle.
What it feels like
A short, warm prick at the probe site, without a jolt of current.
When
A versatile mode for most face and body areas, fine and medium hair.

Slow Flash

How it works
Longer action at gentler power. The heat has time to spread wider in the follicle.
What it feels like
Gentle, building warmth instead of a sharp prick.
When
Coarser, deeper hair, wider follicles.

Pulse Flash

How it works
Energy delivered in a series of short bursts. Gives control over the heat and more comfort.
What it feels like
Several light pulses instead of one strong one.
When
Sensitive areas and people for whom comfort matters most.
Current 2

Electrolysis: direct (galvanic) current

Direct current triggers a chemical reaction in the follicle: water and salt in the tissue form sodium hydroxide, known as lye. The lye dissolves the cells from which the hair regrows. The method is slower than thermolysis but very effective on coarse hair and difficult cases. On EVO X HD, electrolysis is available in manual mode, with current adjustable from 0 to 3 mA.

Current 1 + 2

Blend: both currents in one pulse

Blend combines the speed of thermolysis with the effectiveness of electrolysis. During a single probe insertion, direct current produces lye and HF current warms it. Warm lye works faster and also reaches the curves and sides of the follicle, so it copes well with coarse, deep and curly hair. The pulse lasts longer than in thermolysis, and during that time you feel gentle warmth and a light tingling.

From medium hair thicknessThe BLEND button appears for medium, coarse, very coarse and extra coarse hair, in all areas.
Two waves on screenThe graph shows the shape of the HF wave and the galvanic wave, matched to the area, technique and hair thickness.
Lye counterThe screen shows the amount of lye produced in Lye units, so you can see how much work was done in the follicle.

4 Blend modes

EVO X HD selects the blend variant for the area and hair thickness. You can change the basic current parameters, and the device keeps the ratio of both currents correct.

Fast

Short Blend

How it works
A shorter pulse combining both currents. Heat speeds up the lye, so blend works at a pace close to thermolysis.
What it feels like
Brief warmth with light tingling.
When
Medium hair, when working pace matters.
Gentle

Soft Blend

How it works
Gentler energy delivery while keeping the lye working in the follicle.
What it feels like
Delicate warmth, a gentler sensation than a standard pulse.
When
Sensitive areas and people with a low pain threshold.
Pulsed

Pulsed Blend

How it works
HF current delivered in pulses while direct current produces lye. Heat builds up gradually.
What it feels like
Several light pulses of warmth instead of one longer one.
When
Coarser hair, when a larger dose of energy is needed while keeping comfort.
Even

Uni Blend

How it works
Both currents flow evenly throughout the pulse, and warm lye fills the entire follicle.
What it feels like
Even, longer warmth with tingling.
When
Very coarse, deep, curly and distorted hair.

Educational materials for your team

Practical knowledge we use in our training, based on the Silhouet-Tone manual and our clinic practice. Print the cheat sheet (PDF, in Polish) and keep it at your workstation.

Treatment protocol step by step

  1. Consultation and consentComplete the client form and treatment consent together with the client. Check the list of contraindications below.
  2. Skin preparationCleanse and disinfect the area, e.g. with Purifying & Calming Lotion. The skin must be free of cosmetics.
  3. Hydration testPlace the measuring head on dry skin. The 0–100% result shows how to adjust pulse power and time.
  4. Anaphoresis (optional)When probe insertion is difficult. Temporarily widens the follicle opening.
  5. Area and hair thicknessChoose the area (woman / man, face / body) and hair thickness. The device sets frequency, mode, power and time.
  6. Probe (needle) selectionInsulated F2 for vellus hair; gold or steel F2, F3 and F4 for coarser hair. The “i” button suggests the depth for the area.
  7. TreatmentInsert the probe into the follicle opening along the hair, on its left side, at the correct angle, without piercing the skin. After the end-of-pulse signal, remove the hair with tweezers – it should slide out without resistance. If you feel resistance, check the angle and depth and give the pulse again. If everything is done correctly, the hair is destroyed.
  8. Cataphoresis and aftercareWipe the skin with Purifying & Calming Lotion. Cataphoresis on Hydro Gel Base or Senso Calm Gel. Then by area: face – Senso Calm Gel, Wonder Powder, mineral powder; underarms and bikini – Wonder Powder; arms and legs – Rathany.

Choosing the probe for the hair

The finer the hair, the shallower it sits. The coarser, the deeper. This is how we choose probes in our clinic:

F2 insulatedVellus and fine hair, especially on the face: upper lip, cheeks.
F2 / F3 gold or steelCoarser hair. We choose steel when the treatment is well tolerated.
F4 gold or steelVery coarse hair, e.g. beard, bikini line.

Gold conducts current better, so with a gold probe we work at lower treatment parameters. Ballet F-type probes have a diameter of 0.002" (F2), 0.003" (F3) and 0.004" (F4). Insulated probes are not used for electrolysis or blend.

When the hair does not release

Hair not coming out after one pulse? Work in this order:

  1. Check the probe insertion angle: along the hair, into the follicle opening.
  2. Check the probe insertion depth.
  3. If both are correct, first lengthen the pulse time.
  4. Only if that does not help, increase the pulse power.

If that is still not enough: the “Difficult hair” option (Curly on ST-350), Repeat, a larger probe or Blend for hair of medium thickness and above.

The device suggests the maximum permissible parameters for the given hair. The electrologist decides whether to work at them or to treat effectively at slightly lower settings, protecting the skin of the person being treated. Hair sticking to the probe? The intensity is too high.

Anaphoresis and cataphoresis: settings

Face0.30–0.80 mA
Body0.80–1.50 mA
Base current1.0 mA
Default time3 min

The treatment is performed on a contact gel: we choose COSMIX Hydro Gel Base, a natural carbomer-free gel that conducts current well and soothes and cools the skin. The circuit is closed by a return electrode wrapped in a damp towel that covers the whole electrode. The person being treated must keep contact with it at all times. Move the active electrode slowly over the skin. Only a light tingling should be felt; if there is discomfort, lower the intensity.

EVO X HD special programmes
